Mission

As a Certified Public Accountant, part of the responsibility of our licensure is to serve the public and provide them with specific services. They are performed with the highest degree of confidentiality and ethical standards. Having served the public for over 25 years, the most valued resource I have learned to provide is an independent opinion and advice which is determined from an objective viewpoint. Only by living up to these standards can we be satisfied. This satisfaction is felt and respected by our clients.

Response time to a client's needs is crucial. By being a smaller firm it allows me to act quickly to accomplish certain goals or provide that timely assistance. By establishing working relationships with other Certified Public Accounting firms I am able to expand my scope with respect to the size of an engagement. Experience has taught me well, thus allowing me to provide a wide array of services.

    Financial planning for retirement and college education, streamlining accounting procedures for businesses, training with certain accounting software, strengthening of internal controls and assist accounting staff to work more efficiently.

Staff

  • Ernest Skiadas, CPA, P.C.: President

    Mr. Skiadas has been performing audits, preparing financial statements, corporate and personal income tax returns for a diversified client base since his days as a senior accountant with Johnson, Lauder, Savidge & Vieira, CPAs. He then began his own firm as a sole proprietorship for three years before co-establishing the firm of Vieira and Skiadas CPAs.

    Mr. Skiadas was the managing partner of that firm for 15 of the 17 years he was with them. He was the partner in charge of numerous audit and review engagements with approximately 20 years of experience in auditing, accounting and taxation. He was also the firm’s Director of Quality Control for external reviews performed by independent CPA firms, as required by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

    On January 1, 2006, Mr. Skiadas established a new firm with an extensive client base in various accounting and auditing areas. Mr. Skiadas is a member and past President of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Southern Tier Chapter, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

  • Barbara Skiadas: Office Manager

    Barbara has over ten years servicing the administrative needs of an accounting firm. Also has an extensive knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software and has provided specific consulting to clients when needed.

  • Donna Ackerman: Staff

    Donna has approximately two years of experience in the public accounting profession since she joined the firm in 2020 and 38 years previously as the head accountant with a local manufacturing company. She is in charge of the small business department where she provides bookkeeping services. She also is experienced in the preparation of a variety of tax returns.

  • Deborah Kipp: Staff

    Deborah is a part time tax preparer with over 15 years of experience with individual income tax returns. She joined the firm in 2021.

  • Rachel Skiadas: Staff

    Rachel has over ten years servicing the administrative needs of the accounting firm. She has knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software and ten years experience in preparing individual income tax returns.

  • James Skiadas: Staff

    James is a part time tax preparer with over 10 years experience in individual taxation.
